No, VIVATRESS Braiding Hair is safe for your natural hair. If your hair is fine or delicate, we recommend checking with a stylist before installing tight or high-tension styles.

The amount depends on your desired style, size, and length, as well as your natural hair’s thickness and volume. On average, one pack creates 30–40 braids.

You can seal the ends of your braids, twists, or plaits with hot water, a small knot, rubber bands, or a lighter. The best method depends on your style and personal preference.

We suggest wearing your braids for 1–2 months, or until new growth makes them difficult to maintain.

To refresh your braids we recommend the following:

Scalp Care & Wash: Begin by applying a scalp build-up treatment directly to your braid sections. Gently massage to loosen dirt and excess oils before cleansing. Next, apply diluted shampoo with a spray bottle or your fingertips, massaging lightly to remove any remaining buildup without disturbing the braids.

Rinse & Condition: Rinse thoroughly. For extra sleekness, you can redip braids in hot water to tame flyaways and revive the look. While still damp, apply a light conditioner or leave-in, then gently press out excess water with a towel. To speed up drying, blow dry on low to medium heat if desired.

Edges & New Growth: Define and smooth edges using VIVATRESS Ultimate Hold Braiding Gel with an edge brush. For visible new growth, use a crochet hook at the root to loop braids back into place for added tension, or re-braid the front sections to refresh your style. Finish with a setting mousse for a polished, long-lasting result.

Yes! With proper care, the hair can be reused for one additional install. Please note that dipping in hot water may affect the fibers.
